M&A, investment Banking Healthcare VP (New York, US)

The position of Vice President (VP) in the Healthcare M&A and Investment Banking division at Alantra in New York offers the opportunity to lead complex transactions and contribute to the firm’s growth. The VP will work directly with managing directors and partners to manage transactions, lead client interactions, and mentor junior staff.

Tasks

The role involves working directly with managing directors and partners to manage transactions from start to finish, lead client interactions, and mentor junior professionals. Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the execution of transactions in buy-side and sell-side M&A and capital-raising processes
  • Overseeing financial modeling, valuation analyses, and the preparation of marketing materials
  • Management of due diligence workflows and coordination with clients, counterparties, and advisors
  • Actively contribute to business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, preparing pitch materials, and participating in client meetings
  • Supervising, mentoring, and developing analysts and associates to ensure high-quality results
  • Supporting the growth of the healthcare practice through thought leadership, industry insights, and relationship-building with companies, investors, and strategic partners

Requirements

The following requirements apply:
  • Strong academic background; bachelor’s degree required (business administration, finance, economics, or a related field)
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and execute transactions, with a proven track record of customer retention
  • In-depth knowledge of valuation methods, capital structures, and transaction processes
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint required)
  • FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses required (or willingness to obtain them within 6 months)
