M&A, Investment Banking, Healthcare VP (New York, US)
Alantra is seeking a Vice President for M&A and Investment Banking in the healthcare sector in New York who specializes in transactions in areas such as medical technology, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. The role involves providing end-to-end support for healthcare transactions, leading a deal team, and actively developing business with mid-market and private equity clients.
Tasks
- End-to-End Support for Healthcare Transactions (M&A, Debt, and Strategic Consulting)
- Leading and managing a team of deal professionals to support client engagements
- Building and maintaining relationships with C-suite executives, boards, and investors
- Promoting business development among mid-market, private equity, and corporate clients
- Strategic planning to optimize the capital structure, M&A opportunities, and financing rounds
- Overseeing due diligence processes and ensuring accuracy in valuation and advisory services
- Preparation of board-ready presentations, deal models, and financing proposals
- Design and implementation of transaction advisory services for the day-to-day operations of the programs
- Close collaboration with the management team and with other teams within the Alantra Group
Requirements
- Strong academic background; a bachelor's degree is required (business, finance, economics, or a related field). An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven ability to initiate and execute transactions, with a track record of successfully closed deals
- In-depth knowledge of valuation methods, capital structures, and transaction structuring
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint required)
- FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses required (or a willingness to obtain them within 6 months)
- Proven experience in healthcare deal execution and/or cross-sector M&A
- Deal experience in the areas of LBOs, strategic M&A, and financial restructuring
- Management of top-level stakeholders (C-suite, boards, investors)
- Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation, and market analysis
