Manager / Finance Business Partnering
As a manager on the Finance Business Partnering team at Man Group in London, you will support the investment businesses through budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The position requires a relevant accounting qualification as well as 3–5 years of professional experience in financial advisory for PnA businesses.
Job Summary
- The Finance Business Partnering (FBP) team is part of the Finance and Risk (F&R) and Controls function at Man Group, providing financial support to the investment businesses.
- As a manager on the FBP team, you will be part of a centralized Finance Business Partnering (FBP) function. The business currently consists of investment management teams covering ten equity sectors, hedge funds, private equity, real estate, direct lending, and credit.
Tasks
- Planning and coordinating closely with the various business partners who are critical to preparing for the next fiscal year’s budgeting, forecasting, annual planning, and business planning cycles, as well as monthly variance analysis, quarterly reporting, annual reporting, consolidated cash flows, etc. This will require close collaboration with the FP&A team.
- Leading the firm's overall financial analysis, including quarterly updates for senior management, the preparation of monthly reporting packages, and business reviews.
- Supporting project work on process improvement, including working closely with internal and external teams, as well as IT and RBTs, to optimize processes in order to achieve greater efficiencies and enhance the Company’s ability to act quickly on new opportunities.
- Leading projects with cross-functional stakeholders across our IT finance initiatives, including developing the transition to an automated fund management solution, advancing analytical processes, financial forecasting, and enhancing financial queries related to the operational P&L.
Requirements
- Holds a relevant accounting certification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- At least 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in finance supporting a PnA business
- Extensive experience in managing financial analysis and supporting key finance initiatives, including the use of systems such as the Sage accounting system, SharePoint, etc.
- Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic business environment
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities at all levels with business and finance stakeholders
- Strong accounting, analysis, and application development skills
- Excellent Excel skills for desktop use and the ability to extract key business insights
- Experience with FBP / financial partnering processes (e.g., Oracle, Blackline Analytics)
