Manager, Financial Accounting

Purpose of the role

The role is responsible for supporting the financial control and reporting of the Group and its subsidiaries. This includes preparing and reviewing monthly management reports, preparing annual financial statements, reporting to supervisory boards and local regulatory authorities, and continuously critically evaluating and improving financial controls and processes within the finance department.

Specific responsibilities

The role includes the following responsibilities:

• Management and supervision of direct employees
• Communication, support, coaching, and mentoring within the finance department
• Support in coordinating and planning work in the department
• Review of monthly management reports for the Group's legal entities
• Review of local GAAP financial statements
• Communication with the Group's auditors
• Review of registration applications for entities
• Acting as a point of contact for local managers and presenting results to the supervisory boards
• Ongoing communication with other teams within the finance department
• Participation in ad hoc projects and problem solving
• Proactive role in reviewing processes
• Support for other financial control and reporting initiatives

Technical skills

The role requires the following technical skills:

• Accounting: ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification
• Financial controls: Understanding of controls and ability to evaluate them critically
• Regulation: Experience or knowledge of FCA or similar regulatory rules
• IT skills: Computer literacy with strong Excel skills and ability to learn new systems
• Risk awareness: Ability to understand and assess financial risks
• Communication, organizational, and presentation skills
