Manager, Infrastructure Testing

Position Summary

The Infrastructure Quality Manager is responsible for delivering and maintaining excellent infrastructure quality across all areas and components by applying best practices and robust testing methods.

Relevant tasks

- Lead, manage, and coordinate teams to ensure consistent quality and performance. - Represent infrastructure operations in incident and change management meetings to promote effective and timely problem resolution. - Collaborate with application representatives and business partners to ensure seamless user acceptance and business acceptance testing (UAT) and integrate automation and optimization. - Lead L1/L2 and E2E process monitoring, incident management, and problem management to protect production stability and customer impact. - Identify and mitigate risks and impacts, proactively developing solutions in partnership with IT and business teams. - Ensure all quality objectives are met prior to go-live to ensure operational readiness before business commences. - Optimize resource allocation, including vendor management and utilization of a 24x7 three-shift model. - Oversee daily operational activities and provide supervision for assigned personnel, including onboarding and formal training curricula. - Partner with teams to identify root causes of IT infrastructure operations and system failures and ensure business continuity during disruptions. - Ensure standards are met, project milestones are set, and resources are coordinated to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget constraints. - Develop testing strategies, test plans, and continuous improvement initiatives; proactively plan and manage resources.

Requirements

  • Technical expertise in infrastructure areas, with broad knowledge of application and platform areas.
  • Strong communication skills; proven ability to communicate tests and gaps and lead the management of distributed and offshore teams.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead test planning meetings, moderate discussions, and make decisions in complex environments.
  • Experience with the development and implementation of test automation methods.
  • Extensive experience across the entire SDLC, with practical experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • At least 5 years of practical experience with the following tools/technologies:
    • ADO
    • SDLC, monitoring tools
    • WEBLOGIC, JAVA
    • SharePoint
    • EXADATA (database)
    • WLS, REDHAT, AIX, SOLARIS
    • Oracle
    • Siebel (Siebel/SA/SDM/TOI)
    • Securities from SOA, FIX, TIBCO, CEOP, AEM - MIML-SCP
    • FLS Load Balancer, Checkpoint Firewall, Cisco Switches & Routers
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into higher quality results that are directly related to the business.
