Manager - Vice President - Switzerland
JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President for its "Payments - Market and Product Expansion" team in Switzerland. As a market and product strategy expert, the candidate will drive the expansion of payment services in the Swiss market. The ideal candidate has experience in the payments industry, product strategy, and market expansion, as well as strong communication and analytical skills.
Tasks
- Be the voice of the market
- Engage with regulatory agencies, customers, partners, and sales to ensure that their requirements are incorporated, prioritized, and reflected in product roadmaps and delivery plans
- Keep your expertise up to date to understand local regulations, scheme rules, ecosystem nuances, and customer pain points, and to guide product positioning and feature prioritization
- Secure market approvals and define local requirements
- Support product management in market authorization processes, including interactions with regulatory and government agencies, licensing, scheme certifications, and required attestations
- Review local regulatory and operational requirements to identify clear, actionable steps for product delivery; coordinate with global platform capabilities and define necessary localizations
- Work with regulatory authorities and schemes to assess local readiness (e.g., SLAs, support models, data residency, resilience, and controls)
- Run pilot adoption programs and address localization gaps before scaling up
- Advocate for market expansion opportunities, including new corridors, use cases, and partnerships; develop business plans and influence prioritization
Requirements
- Extensive experience in payments, fintech, or banking, with in-depth knowledge of Swiss payment channels, schemes, and regulatory environments
- Proven experience in product strategy, market entry/expansion, and go-to-market execution for payment solutions (e.g., instant payments, ACH cards, cross-border payments, digital wallets, deposits/withdrawals)
- Fluent English and German
- Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and effectiveness under pressure
- Strong understanding of end-to-end payment flows, customer onboarding, KYC/AML compliance, reconciliation, and operational support models
- Excellent stakeholder management, including engagement with regulatory authorities, industry associations, partners, and internal teams
- Analytical and data-driven, with experience in defining KPIs and managing dashboards to steer commercialization and growth initiatives
- Market insight and customer focus
- Strategic thinker with commercial acumen
Preferred qualifications, skills, and qualities
- Academic degree (e.g., bachelor's degree); an advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus
- Swiss German (optional)
- Influence and partnership across internal and external stakeholders
