Manager - Vice President - Switzerland

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President for the "Payments - Market and Product Expansion" team in Switzerland who, as a product strategy expert, will drive the expansion of payment services in the Swiss market. The position holder will serve as the "voice of the market" and translate the needs of customers, regulatory authorities, and partners into product strategy decisions.

Tasks

As Vice President of Payments Market and Product Expansion within the Payments Market and Product Expansion team, you will serve as the voice of the local ecosystem—customers, regulators, payment schemes, and fintech partners—and translate their needs into scalable, compliant, and commercially sound product roadmaps. You’ll work closely with Product, Sales, Operations, Legal/Compliance, and Technology to expand our payments footprint in the Swiss market and ensure that solutions resonate locally while aligning with our global platform strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be the voice of the market
  • Represent regulatory authorities, customers, partners, and sales to ensure that their requirements are identified, prioritized, and reflected in product roadmaps and delivery schedules
  • Maintain up-to-date expertise on local regulations, scheme rules, ecosystem nuances, and customer pain points to guide product positioning and feature prioritization
  • Ensure market approvals and define local requirements
  • Support product management in market authorization processes, including interactions with regulatory agencies and the government, licensing, scheme certifications, and required attestations
  • Translate local regulatory and operational requirements into clear, actionable steps for product delivery; align with global platform capabilities and define necessary localizations
  • Liaising with regulatory authorities and payment schemes; working with partners to validate local readiness (e.g., SLAs, support models, data residency, resilience, and controls)
  • Lead the pilot adopter program and address localization gaps before scaling up
  • Advocate for market expansion opportunities, including new corridors, use cases, and partnerships; develop business models and influence prioritization

Requirements

  • Significant experience in payments, fintech, or banking, with in-depth knowledge of the Swiss payments infrastructure, payment schemes, and regulatory environments
  • Proven experience in product strategy, market entry/expansion, and go-to-market execution for payment solutions (e.g., instant payments, ACH cards, cross-border payments, digital wallets, deposits/withdrawals)
  • Fluent English and German
  • Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and effectiveness under pressure
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end payment flows, customer onboarding, KYC/AML and sanctions compliance, reconciliation, and operational support models
  • Excellent stakeholder management, including engagement with regulatory authorities, industry associations, partners, and internal teams
  • Analytical and data-driven, with experience in defining KPIs and managing commercialization and growth initiatives
  • Market insight and customer focus
