Job description: Mandate Specialist & CIO Office Sales

Tasks

• Execution of HKMA Type 9 licensed activities and acts as an interface between the CIO Office (CIOO) and the Relationship Managers.
• Responsible for all CIOO marketing, communications planning and development.
• Works closely with the global team to prepare and develop CIOO marketing materials, publications and investment proposals.
• Provides CIOO product training and education for the frontline regions.
• Works closely with Relationship Managers and is responsible for the sale and follow-up of discretionary mandates as an HKMA Type 9 licensed agent.
• Prepares materials and conducts regular performance reviews of mandates with clients.
• Coordinates the development of new CIOO products or solutions in BJBHK.
• Represents the sales function of the CIOO and contributes to strategic projects of the company.

Professional and technical

• University degree and solid academic background in finance and/or statistics.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the financial sector.
• In-depth knowledge of portfolio management consulting and sales.
• Deep understanding of financial products and the industry landscape.
• Familiarity with financial software, e.g. Reuters and Bloomberg.
• Knowledge of Excel is essential, experience with VBA macros is an advantage.
• Good understanding of standard statistical metrics used in analyzing performance.
• CFA is an advantage.
• Required to serve Mandarin-speaking customers, with the main language of written and verbal communication being Mandarin.
• Good knowledge of English, Mandarin and Cantonese is required.
