About the job

As a Mandate Specialist for Discretionary Solutions, you will play a key role in shaping and building the bank’s discretionary mandate business. You will serve as a trusted expert for relationship managers, clients, and internal stakeholders, ensuring that the discretionary offering is effectively positioned across markets and client segments.

Your challenge

The challenge is to promote discretionary solutions and accomplish the following tasks:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the bank's discretionary products and services.
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of the solutions to relationship managers and customers.
  • Supporting the positioning of discretionary mandates across client segments.

Tasks

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Partner with relationship managers to create and deliver customized client presentations, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Attend customer meetings to present the bank's discretionary investment offerings.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact between Investment Management and front-office teams for sales and post-sale inquiries.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Ensuring that customers receive excellent service and are fully informed about the discretionary capabilities.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase our share of the customer’s budget and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Monitoring market developments, trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
  • Using insights to refine discretionary offerings and identify business opportunities.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:
  • Proven ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • A proven track record of achieving revenue growth and meeting sales targets.
  • Experience in a similar role in private banking or wealth management.
  • Extensive knowledge of investment products and advisory/discretionary solutions.
  • An independent, efficient, proactive, and meticulous work style.

Professional and technical skills

We expect:
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (CFA, CAIA, or equivalent) are a plus.
  • Five years of professional experience in the financial sector, preferably in investment management or sales.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • A deeper understanding of the asset management business, with a particular focus on the MTF market.
  • Professional user of portfolio management applications, particularly Bloomberg AIM or similar software.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
