Mandate Specialist
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Mandate Specialist to support the company’s discretionary mandate business and serve as an expert for relationship managers, clients, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in private banking or wealth management and a deep understanding of investment products and advisory/discretionary solutions.
Tasks
As a Mandate Specialist for Discretionary Solutions, you will play a key role in shaping and building the bank’s discretionary mandate business. You will serve as a trusted expert for relationship managers, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure that our discretionary offering is effectively positioned across markets and client segments. You will:- Develop a deep understanding of the bank's discretionary products and services.
- Clearly communicate the value proposition of our solutions to relationship managers and clients.
- Support the positioning of discretionary mandates across client segments.
- Work with relationship managers to create and deliver customized client presentations, pitches, and marketing materials.
- Attend client meetings to present the bank's discretionary investment services.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Investment Management and the front-office teams for sales and post-sales inquiries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Ensure that customers receive excellent service and are fully informed about our discretionary capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue share and strengthen customer relationships.
- Monitor market developments, trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
- Use insights to refine discretionary strategies and identify business opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders and customers.
- A proven track record of driving revenue growth and meeting sales targets.
- Experience in a similar role in private banking or wealth management.
- Extensive knowledge of investment products and advisory/discretionary solutions.
- An independent, efficient, proactive, and meticulous approach to work.
Professional and technical skills
- A degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (CFA, CAIA, or equivalent) are a plus.
- Five years of professional experience in the financial sector, preferably in investment management or sales.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- A deeper understanding of the asset management business, with a particular focus on the MFI market.
- Proficient user of portfolio management applications, particularly Bloomberg AIM or similar software.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
