Julius Baer is seeking a Market Data Support Associate for a 12-month contract role to maintain and enhance the market data platform. The employee will work with team members in Singapore and Zurich.

General description

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Market Data Support at a leading financial institution. The employee will work with team members in Singapore and Zurich.

Contract data

  • 12-month contract
  • External agency payroll provider

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Maintenance of the Markets Technology Market Data Platform, including feeds, distribution infrastructure, entitlement system and Market Data API support
  • Drive automation efforts by proposing and developing scripts
  • Drive forward the onboarding of applications on shared platforms (observability testing framework, CI/CD platform)
  • Participation in the documentation work
  • Promoting the engineering culture within the team

Business Management

  • Work to fulfill the ambitions of the team as defined by the Head of CoE Software Solutions
  • Actively participate and support the team leader in the regular review and improvement of team practices to optimize efficiency and productivity
  • Driving the continuous improvement of systems

Stakeholder management

  • Effective and progressive management of all stakeholders and users of applications supported by the team
  • Discuss requirements and solutions with business owners and stakeholders
  • Provide regular updates to key stakeholders via the various channels used by the team
  • Contribution to strengthening team spirit and promoting a collaborative working environment across locations

Change management

  • Active participation and support of the Program Increment (PI) planning process within Markets
  • Support with change management and release rollout planning
  • Provision of dedicated post-implementation support locally in Asia

Professional and technical

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a finance and/or technology background
  • Possession of knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Linear operating system administration
    • Scripting skills (bash, Python etc.)
