Marketing & Distribution Compliance Officer
The Marketing & Distribution Compliance Officer reviews marketing and advertising materials for compliance with regulations and provides support in the implementation of regulatory requirements. The focus is on ensuring that marketing materials are clear, fair and not misleading.
Job description
Tasks
- Review marketing and promotional materials (e.g. advertisements, social media posts, factsheets, presentations and press releases) for target audiences in the UK and multiple jurisdictions, including EMEA, LAC and APAC, in line with applicable regulations such as MiFID, FCA, GDPR, CISI, CISI/SRO and AFG requirements.
- Provide constructive and accurate feedback to ensure that necessary changes are made and provide guidance on developments and impacts in relation to the above areas.
- Provide senior level support for internal, close working relationships with Investment Services, Marketing, Communications and other stakeholders, offering proactive, accurate and timely advice and support.
- Training business teams on marketing compliance regulation and best practice, working closely with the compliance team to monitor marketing communications, ensure they are fit for purpose, clear, fair and not misleading, systems and controls and consistency of standards.
- Contribution of expertise to projects and initiatives that require marketing compliance input.
Requirements
- Experience in reviewing financial promotions to sell investment products and services.
- Good understanding of financial products and global regulation in relation to financial services marketing and promotion.
- Ability to operate at all levels within the organization and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated employee with strong organizational and communication skills and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with Outlook, Excel and e-mail as well as common systems for financial services.
