Middle Office & Accounting Analyst
The Middle Office & Accounting Analyst supports the investment team in managing hedge funds and private credit products and handles tasks such as managing payments, monitoring net asset values, and communicating with external partners. The role requires strong analytical skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Purpose of the role
The Middle Office & Accounting Analyst supports the Man Systematic & External Alpha Managed Accounts business in the areas of hedge funds and private credit products. This role supports the investment teams, risk management, and the investment, client reporting, and NAV (Net Asset Value) teams. The analyst position involves day-to-day operations and managing relationships with our operational counterparties and external counterparties.Responsibilities
* Assisting with the management and administration of operations and processes for our funds * Reviewing and processing all cash and payment processing activities, including margin calls, credit settlements, drawdowns, salaries, and interest payments * Ensuring the quality and effectiveness of pricing governance and controls by organizing pricing data and implementing/documenting controls to ensure that internally received information is updated daily, weekly, and monthly * Reconciliation of the funds’ Net Asset Value (NAV) on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis (including verification of accrued income and expenses) * Providing intra-NAV estimates to asset managers/clients upon request * Collaborating with the fund administrator to reconcile fund NAVs and monitor deliverables under service-level agreements * Collaborating with team members to prepare client reports and respond to client inquiries * Monitoring changes to subscription/redemption/performance fees, management fees, and other fee structures * Responsible for setting up accounts and performing daily transaction reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of generated entries * Responsible for relationships with service providers, including fund administration, credit administration, banking, auditing, and technology vendors * Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and monthly investor reports * Actively monitoring to identify trends and potential issues with operational controls, and to improve the control environment and increase efficiencies * Taking a proactive and innovative approach to improving processes and maintaining internal policies and procedure manualsKey qualifications and experience
* 0–3 years of experience in accounting or auditing, e.g., real estate lending, hedge funds, funds of funds * Excellent Microsoft skills (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) * Strong communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to multitask * High levels of proactivity, organization, and self-motivation * A team player who can work collaboratively and is also willing to take on individual responsibilityWe offer

* The expected base salary for this position ranges from $86,000 to $106,000 USD. The compensation package also includes benefits and performance-based bonuses.Job details
