Middle Office and Accounting Analyst

Tasks

• Supporting the New Discretionary & Systematic Equity Monetization Account teams in the financing and management of cash and positions
• Supporting the company's risk and account management activities
• Responsibility for the accurate recording, classification, and assessment, as well as AML/risk support for the evaluation, coordination, and documentation of our work related to clients, AML/risk analysis, and risk management
• Processing of investor information and administrative tasks
• Responsibility for other customer operations and reporting, as well as the ongoing development of relationships with our customers and within the corporate environment
• Support with the documentation and administration of operations and processes for our funds
• Driving processes and supporting day-to-day management and audit-related activities, including: trading, sales, cash clearing, investments, portfolio management, and internal payments
• Ensuring the quality and effectiveness of corporate communications and controls by identifying and mitigating operational risks and communicating operational changes within the context of the respective asset class
• A key role in aligning the respective asset class and facilitating reporting to stakeholders
• Utilizing available skills, functional and analytical aspects, and evaluating the team's investment performance
• Work closely with key business partners to ensure compliance with operational procedures, internal processes, and regulatory requirements during routine operations, and to report all exceptions in accordance with business rules
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver client reports, respond to client inquiries, with support from the broader business
• Other responsibilities within the business unit, which may also include temporary, interim, or contract positions
• Ability to evaluate key performance indicators, benchmark results, identify potential areas for improvement, and other activities in these business areas
• Awareness of new technologies and processes that require training and professional development to increase productivity and business efficiency
• Knowledge of the regulatory processes and documentation requirements that apply to the company, and the ability to assess potential risks that may arise from business operations and ensure appropriate risk mitigation by identifying risks and escalating them to senior management
• Awareness of potential business risks that could adversely affect financial performance, and a risk mitigation strategy through a balanced and effective risk management process
• Maintaining a high level of confidentiality regarding all sensitive information made available within the company

Requirements

• 1–3 years of specialized experience in accounting and reporting services in the areas of fixed income, wealth management, middle office, treasury, foreign exchange, cash management, and settlement management in the private or corporate financial sector and in financial transactions
• At least advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other software applications, or a solid foundation in accounting and banking to analyze related processes and prepare reports
• Strong skills in accounting and reporting, with strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, good communication and reporting skills, and the ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to learn new systems, the ability to work independently, and the ability to lead, coach, and develop junior staff
