Middle Office, Assistant Vice President

Tasks

- Manage the relevant team locations for assigned clients - Take responsibility for the entire trade lifecycle, including trade recording, confirmation, settlement support, reconciliation, and corporate actions - Ensure that processing across all asset classes is accurate and timely - Monitor trade exceptions, resolve breaks, and follow escalation protocols with custodians and brokers - Serve as the primary point of contact for daily (MUI), incident management, and SLA compliance - Lead as a Senior Operational Lead for global clients and internal stakeholders - Deliver regular service reports, governance metrics, and support client reviews - Lead strategic initiatives such as client onboarding, change requests, and transitions - Foster a high-performance culture through mentoring, training, and career development - Ensure compliance with control standards, regulatory requirements, and audit controls - Proactively identify risk areas, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions - Lead business continuity and resilience efforts in coordination with other functions - Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities - Collaborate with technology, product, and transformation teams to implement system enhancements and tool upgrades

Requirements

- Strong expertise in trade lifecycle management, reconciliation, and settlement - Broad and deep understanding of the asset management industry, gained through experience working in various asset management departments - Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical mindset - Customer-centric approach to managing, monitoring, and delivering operational and service deliverables - Strong communication and presentation skills for audiences of varying scope and levels of seniority, both nationally and globally - Strong teamwork skills - Commercial acumen - Experience leading and delivering operations in line with cost/budget targets - Ability to foster a culture of performance differentiation within teams - Strong understanding of the risk and control environment within a G-SIFI firm and a desire to create a culture of risk excellence across teams - Effective planning, execution with influence, and effective communication across stakeholder groups, both regionally and globally - Flexibility to work outside your areas of responsibility and expertise, taking ownership of results as a company, and collaborating across functions, businesses, and locations - Customer-centric approach to managing, monitoring, and delivering operational and service delivery - Results-oriented with an ownership and accountability mindset
