The Middle Office Product Business Analyst (AVP) assists in the development of solutions to improve customer satisfaction and product features and strengthen the strategic position of CRD investment management systems. The Analyst will work closely with clients and developers to gather requirements and create actionable solutions.

Middle Office Product Business Analyst, AVP

Tasks

  • Apply detailed knowledge and understanding of cash management in the investment lifecycle to assist in product development and advance the product roadmap
  • Produce business and technical requirement documents based on product roadmap, competitive analysis, and understanding stakeholder needs
  • Work directly with customers to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications
  • Partner with engineering and QA to help design, develop, and refine features
  • Plan and schedule validation tasks; provide hands on manual testing; develop verification plans and processes
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation for product features and workflows
  • Provide client data testing support and team input on capabilities of new product releases
  • Assist with the project management schedule and deliverables
  • Assist implementation and support to investigate and resolve critical client issues
  • Assist with testing requirements and exercises as needed
  • Actively participate in the Agile software development process by adhering to the CRD Scrum Methodology including but not limited to agile ceremonies and adhering to SDLC guidelines

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development lifecycle experience, specifically Agile development methodologies and familiarity with tools such as Jira
  • Strong experience with cash management across the investment lifecycle for front and middle office functions
  • Demonstrated ability translating business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical (product specification documents)
  • Ability to think critically and think independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills
  • Advanced written skills, including the ability to distill/summarize detailed information
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to reconcile conflicting data
  • Strong technical background with familiarity with SQL
  • Demonstrated planning and scheduling skills
  • Knowledgeable in one or more CRD's functional financial areas and State Street Alpha strongly desired
  • Curiosity and interest in financial markets and trends; experience in finance, banking, or related field
  • Education: BS Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or study of Business with an MS in Engineering, MIS, or CFA is preferred
