Middle Office Specialist – Asset Management Companies

Job description

As a Middle Office Specialist – Asset Management Companies, you will support our team with a variety of tasks, such as:
  • Assistance with the preparation of 10 UCITS versions and monthly P&Ls & SICAV audits; annual financial statements; compliance; asset protection, AML, and group internal audits
  • GMIS (Global Management Information System) Management: Calculation and monitoring of returns, assets under management, and net new money
  • Coordination of corporate secretarial functions (Board of Directors, shareholder meetings), liaison with the Commercial Registry
You will work closely with the rest of the team on the following tasks:
  • Trade Settlement: Monitoring, Trading in SICAV Shares
  • Treasury, Cash Management: Cash Flow, Foreign Exchange, Repos, Deposits
  • Billing: Calculation, Accrual, Processing, Control
  • Client Reporting: Monthly preparation, review, and delivery; reconciliations. Cash, holdings, commissions

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:

  • Ability to build trust and respect
  • 5+ years of experience in the middle office or in the operations department of an asset management company (Gestora), in similar roles
  • In-depth knowledge of Spanish regulations regarding accounting, auditing, and regulatory and tax reporting for investment funds and SICAVs (both UCITS and alternative)
  • Knowledge of all operational aspects related to vehicle investments (trading, execution, settlement, cash management, etc.)
  • An understanding of business requirements in order to provide the best possible service to relationship managers, portfolio managers, and clients
  • Understanding and applying internal policies and security standards
  • High level of English (written and spoken)
