Glarner Kantonalbank is looking for a Compliance employee (m/f) to support the Compliance team in complying with internal and external regulations. The position offers a varied role with development opportunities and flexible working conditions.

Compliance employee (m/f) 60 - 100 %

Tasks

  • Supporting the compliance team in carrying out audit activities in the areas of anti-money laundering and combating terrorism
  • Supporting the compliance team in monitoring and controlling the bank's business activities in relation to its employees, in particular with regard to CDB, AMLA and international taxes (e.g. FATCA, QI, AEOI)
  • Advice on simple compliance-relevant decisions and business cases with regard to CDB, GwG, international taxes
  • Support in the monitoring and assessment of legal and regulatory changes with regard to compliance-relevant topics (incl. supervision of the corresponding directives)
  • Helping to ensure that employees receive appropriate training and instruction on compliance-related topics
  • Support in projects and in the optimization of processes

Requirements

  • Completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent training (advantageous in a bank)
  • Professional experience in a financial institution an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory provisions in the area of combating money laundering and terrorism
  • Stylistically flawless oral and written expression in German
  • Knowledge of English and other Swiss national languages an advantage
  • Willingness to support all topics in the compliance area of a bank as well as to work collegially, reliably and responsibly in a small team
  • Independent, reliable and structured way of working and strong interpersonal skills as well as high service orientation
