The Swiss National Bank is looking for an employee for its SIC Operations department to monitor, manage, and further develop the Swiss Interbank Clearing CHF payment system. SIC Operations Employee (80% - 100%)

In the SIC Operations department, we are responsible for monitoring, controlling, and further developing the Swiss Interbank Clearing (SIC) payment system. The SIC system plays a crucial role in the implementation of monetary policy and in national and international cashless payments.

Your contribution:

  • Responsibility for the operational monitoring and control of the SIC system;
  • Joint responsibility for the further development of the SIC system and for release and test management;
  • Collaboration in various projects and committees on topics related to payment transactions;
  • Point of contact for questions from SIC participants and coordination of the interbank alarm and crisis organization of the Swiss financial center;
  • Management of sanction and payment fraud filter systems.

Your knowledge and experience:

  • Completed commercial training (banking apprenticeship or similar), ideally supplemented by further professional training in banking and finance;
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in the field of payment transactions at a bank or financial institution with a good knowledge of ISO 20022 payment standards;
  • High IT affinity; ideally, proven experience in testing payment applications;
  • Quick comprehension and a reliable, independent way of working; with the ability to keep a cool head in exceptional situations;
  • Very good knowledge of German and English (oral and written), good knowledge of French an advantage.
