Mobile Tech Lead (80-100%)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Tech Lead to implement and lead a brand new React Native mobile application from the ground up. You will be the technical reference for mobile at Sygnum, responsible for setting up the foundations of our mobile stack, establishing best practices and leading a small, cross-functional team through execution.

Main tasks

• Owner of the architecture and technical vision of the mobile app from day one
• Design, creation and maintenance of high-quality React Native code for both iOS and Android
• Define and enforce best practices for performance, maintainability, testing and security
• Effective collaboration across teams and disciplines (design, product, backend, DevOps) to ensure smooth development, integration and delivery of your product
• Supervision of junior engineers and support in setting up the mobile team
• Contribution to the technical roadmap, planning and estimation of new functions
• Advocate of a mobile mindset and user-centered design
• Hire new team members and evaluate their performance

Ideal candidate

• 8+ years of experience in mobile development, including 3+ years in React Native
• Proven track record of building and publishing at least one green React Native app from scratch
• Familiarity with both iOS and Android ecosystems, including App Store deploy processes
• Strong understanding of mobile app security, performance optimization and offline capabilities
• Proven ownership mindset with focus on high-quality, on-time delivery
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, Vueto, Sentry and related tools
• Experience with common backend integrations: REST APIs, websockets, authentication (OAuth, JWT)

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD for mobile apps
• Knowledge of (crypto)currency, fintech or financial services
• Familiarity with language modules, such as language identification or deep linking
• Previous scale-up experience
• Exposure to mobile analytics, A/B testing and user feedback loops
