We are looking for a Mobile Tech Lead (80-100%) to develop and lead a new React Native mobile application from scratch. The candidate should have experience in mobile development, especially with React Native, and take a lead role in the technical implementation.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Tech Lead to implement and lead the development of a brand new React Native mobile application from the ground up. You will be the technical reference for mobile at Sygnum, responsible for setting up the foundations of our mobile stack, establishing best practices, and leading a small, cross-functional team through execution.Main tasks
- Adopt the architecture and technical vision of the mobile application from the outset
- Design, build and maintain high-quality React Native code for both iOS and Android
- Define and enforce best practices for performance, maintainability, testing and security
- Collaborate effectively with teams and disciplines (design, product, backend, DevOps) to ensure smooth development, integration and delivery of the product
- Supervise junior engineers and help build the mobile team
- Contribute to the technical roadmap, planning and estimation of new features
- Advocating mobile thinking and user-centered design
- Hire new team members and evaluate their performance
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in mobile development, including 3+ years in React Native
- Successful experience building and publishing at least one green React Native app from scratch
- Proficient in both iOS and Android ecosystems, including app store deploy processes
- Strong understanding of mobile app security, performance optimization and offline capabilities
- Proven ownership mentality with a focus on high-quality, on-time delivery
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, Vueto, Sentry and related tools
- Experience with common backend integrations: REST APIs, websockets, authentication (OAuth, JWT)
Nice to Have
- Experience with CICD for mobile apps
- Knowledge of cryptocurrency, fintech or financial services
- Familiarity with language modules, such as speech recognition or deep linking
- Previous experience in scale-up
- Exposure to mobile analytics and user feedback loops
