Mortgage Officer 100% (f/m/d)

Job description

As a Mortgage Officer, you will serve as the second line of defense in mortgage assessment and management for domestic and international private banking clients. You will assess credit risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the front line in developing mortgage solutions. This exciting role combines risk monitoring with operational excellence and requires close collaboration with mortgage advisors, relationship managers, and operational teams.

Tasks

• Providing constructive feedback and recommendations for mortgage advisors and relationship managers
• Ensuring that all transactions comply with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements
• Performing servicing and lifecycle administration for active mortgage facilities, including amendments and renewals
• Support for improving data quality for current and new mortgage positions
• Contributing to process optimization and operational excellence in close collaboration with stakeholders
• Regular contact with mortgage advisors, the Julius Baer Real Estate Team, and relationship managers to support efficient transaction execution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; or relevant professional experience
• 3–5+ years of experience in the mortgage sector, ideally in a private banking or wealth management setting
• Solid understanding of mortgage valuation, product structures, and risk mitigation techniques
• Knowledge of Swiss banking regulations and regulatory framework
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality results
• A collaborative spirit with strong communication skills—a proven ability to work effectively as a team player in cross-functional environments
• Fluency in German or English, combined with proven language proficiency in French or Italian, is strongly preferred
