Tasks

As a Mortgage Officer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Provide qualitative feedback and recommendations to mortgage advisors and relationship managers
• Ensure that all transactions comply with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements
• Perform servicing and lifecycle administration for active mortgage facilities, including amendments and renewals
• Drive data quality improvements in current and new mortgage positions
• Promote process optimization and operational excellence through close collaboration with stakeholders
• Maintain regular contact with Mortgage Advisors, the Julius Baer Real Estate team, and relationship managers to support efficient transaction processing

Requirements

For this position, we are looking for a candidate with:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; or relevant professional experience
• 3–5+ years of experience in the mortgage business, ideally at a private bank or in a wealth management setting
• Solid understanding of mortgage underwriting, product structures, and risk mitigation techniques
• Knowledge of Swiss banking regulations and regulatory framework
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality results
• Team player with strong communication skills—proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments
• Fluency in German or English, combined with proven language proficiency in French or Italian, is strongly preferred
