Job Description
The role of Network & Proxy Support Team Lead involves leading a team of three network engineers and ensuring the security, resilience, and availability of EFG’s business systems.Main tasks
- Leading, coaching, and developing the network team; fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Combining team leadership with hands-on technical expertise in complex incidents and projects.
- Monitoring of daily operations and proxy operations, including incident, problem, and change management.
- Planning and coordinating network and proxy upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle activities in accordance with business and security requirements.
- Escalation management to ensure that major incidents are resolved promptly and that communication with stakeholders is clear.
- Management and review of third-party vendors and contracts to ensure service quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with SLAs.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory, security-related, and audit-related requirements in the area of network and security infrastructure.
Proxy | Secure Web Gateway (Zscaler)
- Collaborate with security teams to define, implement, and maintain security policies, including URL filtering, cloud application and file filtering, DLP, and access control.
- Configuration, operation, and maintenance of Zscaler solutions (ZIA, ZPA) and related components such as SPA, Cloud Firewall, PAC files, NISS, and ZCC.
- Manage corporate devices using Zscaler Client Connector (ZCC) to ensure a secure and reliable connection.
- Resolving Zscaler-related issues by analyzing log files, conducting tests, and implementing corrective actions.
- Analysis of network packet captures (PCAPs), Fiddler log files, and HTTP/HTTPS headers to identify and resolve complex connectivity and performance issues.
- Proactively propose and implement improvements to network and proxy performance, capacity, scalability, and security.
Network Engineering & Operations
- Provision of second- and third-level technical support for networks and related services.
- Configuration, installation, and maintenance of network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancing, VPN, QoS).
- Support and maintenance of network connections for financial market data feeds and other latency-sensitive services.
- Implement and maintain a continuous improvement process by defining, documenting, and enforcing network and proxy standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Interface with external suppliers and partners (integrators, telecommunications providers, market data providers, etc.) to design, implement, and support network solutions.
- Participation in a 24/7 on-call/on-duty rotation (with pay) to support critical infrastructure.
