Overview
As a New Business Onboarding Specialist, you will support the company's new business initiatives by ensuring that the onboarding process for new businesses is completed in a timely manner.Main tasks
- New Business & Infrastructure Setup:
- Supporting the company's new business initiatives and ensuring that the operational infrastructure for onboarding new business is in place
- Establishing and ensuring the completion of technical and operational setups for new funds and managed accounts
- Assistance with the introduction of new products and services
- Collaborate with the business and customers to ensure that specific requirements are met
- Engagement with internal partners to approve workflows, documentation requirements, account setup, and trading/statement communications
- Liaise with investment and middle office teams to ensure data and communications are set up
- Ensuring that all requirements are carried out in accordance with internal and external controls and audit requirements
- Data Management & Quality:
- Review of investment-related data sources and issues in a timely manner in a controlled environment, including:
- Securities and futures data
- Internal books and accounts
- Votes/Data
- Ensuring that data quality is updated and maintained with accuracy and timeliness
- Assignment of trading transactions to the front office trading ledger (TBS)
- Resolution of trading issues caused by static data discrepancies
- Administration of internal trading book accounting and counterparty override rules
- Market Data & Configuration:
- Management of market-driven data points
- Updating and managing trading data feeds
- Configuration of processing data rules
- Management of market data providers
Requirements
Technical skills
- Experience in operations management within an investment management company, investment bank, or hedge fund
- Previous experience in customer service, middle office, or operations management in the financial services sector
- Good understanding of the investment management industry and related processes
- Self-motivated and responsive in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to identify potential problems or delays and escalate them to management
- Functional written and verbal communication skills (both customer-oriented and internal)
