Non-Financial Risk Expert

Julius Baer is seeking a Non-Financial Risk Expert in Singapore to oversee and assess operational risks and ensure adherence to security policies and compliance requirements. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or information security, as well as strong analytical and communication skills.

Tasks

  • Administration, implementation, and communication of the results to the appropriate supervisors responsible for safety and quality
  • Preparation of monthly and ad hoc reports for management based on risk statistics and analyses
  • Monitoring the implementation of assigned FRX controls, ensuring timely execution, offboarding, and remediation as needed
  • Managing, discussing, and identifying risks by coordinating training sessions, reviewing compliance policies, and conducting awareness activities
  • Management of NFR risk assessments in various regions, including the operation of relevant tools
  • Creation and development of best-practice management procedures for FRX processes, including recommendations, vulnerability assessments, and data loss in operational areas such as fraud and operational risk, under the guidance of senior management
  • Generation and distribution of FRX incident reports, trend analyses, and threat reports for various stakeholder groups
  • Support for FRX monitoring and enforcement activities, including monitoring plans, review of alert queues, and proper execution of data-related aspects
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of proactive security strategies to effectively safeguard operations and protect customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent understanding of operational safety, monitoring and measurement frameworks, regulatory obligations, and environmental factors
  • Proven ability to proactively anticipate and mitigate risks and improve the customer experience
  • Monitoring issues, investigating and identifying incidents to determine appropriate actions and recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with a focus on building long-term relationships and trust
  • Ability to assess stakeholders and resolve complex disputes
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
  • Confident communication with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior management
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver results under tight deadlines
  • Demonstration of appropriate measures and sound judgment, including statements regarding conflicts of interest, competence, and continuous improvement; ethical business management; and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
