Economist Monitoring Financial Market Infrastructures (temporary)

The Swiss National Bank is looking for an economist to monitor financial market infrastructures in order to assess the governance, functional design and risk management of these infrastructures. The position is temporary for 12 months and offers a responsible and challenging job in a collegial environment.

Economist Monitoring Financial Market Infrastructures (temporary) (80% - 100%)

Your contribution

  • Assessment of the governance, functional design and risk management of systemically important financial market infrastructures;
  • Preparation of risk analyses and monitoring of projects;
  • Drafting of decision papers, reports, briefing notes and presentations for departmental and bank management.

Your knowledge and experience

  • University degree (Master) in economics, ideally in finance;
  • Great interest in economic, technological and regulatory developments;
  • Very good knowledge of financial markets and products as well as credit and liquidity risk modeling;
  • Professional experience in the financial sector, with supervisory authorities or audit firms is an advantage;
  • High level of analytical thinking, motivation, independence and strong ability to cooperate and work in a team;
  • Very good communication and editorial skills in German or French and English.
