Operational Excellence Officer for Mortgages, Full-Time (f/m/d)

YOUR CHALLENGE

• End-to-End Mortgage Operations & Lifecycle Management
  • Oversee the administrative process for mortgage loans—from initial origination and amendments to renewal, early repayment, and settlement.
  • Perform transactional activities accurately and in a timely manner, including new loans, loan modifications, refinancing, and system updates.
  • Work closely with the Front Office, Mortgage Advisory, Credit Risk, Legal, and external partners to ensure seamless client experiences and operational agility.
• Controls, Compliance, and Process Integrity
  • Conduct daily operational checks, reconciliations, and exception monitoring to ensure data accuracy and process reliability.
  • Support compliance with internal policies and evolving regulatory requirements (including FINMA oversight and SNB initiatives).
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve operational risks and pending issues to maintain audit readiness.
  • Help refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), control frameworks, and risk mitigation measures.
• Strategic Initiative & Business Transformation
  • Serve as an operational partner in cross-functional projects focused on automation, digitalization, and improving the customer journey.
  • Identify inefficiencies and collaboratively design scalable solutions that improve both productivity and service quality.
  • Assist in shaping future processes, technology integrations, and change management rollouts.

YOUR PROFILE

• In-depth knowledge of the Swiss mortgage lifecycle, product types, collateral management, and related operational workflows
• Proven experience in data management, reporting, and operational controls—familiarity with regulatory requirements is a distinct advantage
• Strong analytical skills and a natural interest in process optimization, whether in day-to-day tasks or large-scale transformations
• Enjoys project-based work; is self-motivated to take the initiative and see projects through to successful completion
• Able to work comfortably on one's own while building effective relationships across departments and levels of the organization
