Tasks and responsibilities

• Part of the Bank Risk Team and part of the second line of defense of a growing private bank in Switzerland
• Responsibility for risk management projects, operational risk assessments and daily business activities
• Collaboration with various stakeholders on qualitative and quantitative assessments

Main tasks

• Thematic in-depth analyses in various departments to understand the working methods and relevant activities and risks
• Understanding of the applicable regulations and internal guidelines
• Preparation of risk assessments and reports on processes, controls, inherent risks and residual risks
• Design of test cases and definition of suitable criteria for different types of processes and controls
• Support in eliminating weaknesses in internal controls with multiple stakeholders
• Reporting to various stakeholders, such as the head of the Bank Risk Team, department heads and senior management
• Participation in international projects with various offices and divisions of the bank
• Creation and maintenance of quantitative and qualitative risk indicators
• Data maintenance and system updates
• Automation of processes

Requirements

Special knowledge and skills

• Knowledge of operational risk management, internal controls or quality
• Very good communication skills
• Solution-oriented
• Analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Nice to have

• Advanced knowledge of VBA is an advantage
• Knowledge of Alteryx is an advantage

Required training

• Bachelor's degree
• Additional qualification in risk management/internal controls would be an advantage

Required professional experience

• At least 6 years of professional experience in the banking sector, ideally in private banking, in an operational risk management function
