Operations Analyst

Purpose of the role

The Investment Operations department provides operational services to the AHL, GLG, and Manx fund managers, covering all functions throughout the entire trading cycle. The Trade Support function ensures that the trades booked by these fund managers are correct and accurate, while maintaining strong risk management standards.

key tasks

The main tasks include:

• Trade Confirmation and Settlement: Confirming and reconciling all trades in a timely manner; monitoring and resolving trade discrepancies or potential settlement issues
• Trading Cycle and Data Management: Trading changes, event processing, and reference data maintenance to ensure an accurate representation of positions, profit and loss, and exposures in risk management systems
• Stakeholder Management: Primary point of contact for inquiries from the front and back offices; subject matter expert for OTC products within Man Group
• Process Improvement and Governance: Continuous review and improvement of work practices and processes; automation of end-to-end processes whenever possible
• Compliance and Risk: Ensure that all processes meet the minimum requirements for AML and the internal control framework; maintain awareness of compliance and regulatory developments
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other Ops teams to provide coverage and product expertise; represent the Equity, Bond, and GTC Derivatives Confirmation/Settlement teams within Man Group

Key qualifications and experience

The required qualifications and experience include:

• Product Knowledge: A solid understanding of financial products, particularly stocks, bonds, and OTC (swaps)
• Technical Skills: Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, broad proficiency across multiple platforms, experience with Bloomberg, Syzion (DTC), CQG (ABLE; Triton; ICE (preferred but not required))

We offer

The expected base salary for this position is:

• Salary range in GBP: 60,000–90,000 GBP

The compensation package also includes benefits and a discretionary bonus.
