Operations - Authorized Officer (1-year contract)

Job Description

The position as Authorized Officer in the Operations department includes the following tasks:

• Responsibility for processing structured bonds and derivatives.
• Performing daily reconciliation of trader sheets against system records and broker trade confirmations.
• Processing of trade settlements and market data administration.
• Collaboration with headquarters for the creation of SecMaster and maintenance of market price updates.
• Communication with traders, brokers, and custodians to resolve settlement issues or discrepancies.
• Maintaining proper transaction records.
• Communication with the sales team for questions regarding the booking of derivatives.
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal guidelines relating to processing.
• Handling of ad hoc projects as required.

Requirements

The following requirements apply to this position:

• Academic degree (bachelor's or higher)
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a bank or financial institution, preferably in securities settlement
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Good knowledge of English, Chinese, and Putonghua (both written and spoken)

Preferred skills

The following skills are advantageous:

• Knowledge of SWIFT, Clearstream, and CCASS
