Operations Manager - Private Markets
The Operations Manager at SYZ Capital in Pfäffikon/Freienbach supports the investment team with administrative and operational tasks and is responsible for monitoring fund transactions and managing cash management duties. The ideal candidate has experience in fund accounting and strong analytical skills to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
Job description
As part of its strategic ambitions, SYZ Capital is expanding its operations team under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer. We are looking for someone with experience in fund management who is interested in working with liquid and illiquid alternative investments and who wants to contribute to the team’s success and growth.Tasks
The tasks include:- Order Execution & Cash Management: Overseeing daily fund operations and liaising with the middle and back offices.
- NAV Control: Support for daily operations (incoming data processing, fund asset verification).
- Administration: Support with product launches, structuring, closing, and reconciliation.
- Regulatory Affairs: Overseeing the annual audit of funds and assisting the business development team with investor onboarding (KYC, AML) and liaising with administrators.
Requirements
The following requirements apply to this position:- Work experience as an administrator.
- A can-do attitude, self-motivated, proactive, and independent, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask.
- Flexible and resilient under pressure, especially during periods of peak activity.
- Strong project management skills and an analytical mindset, with a proven ability to identify and solve complex problems in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Proven experience in producing high-quality reports and presentations.
- High integrity, independent and self-motivated, yet also a cooperative team player.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach; structured and methodical in my work, with the ability to effectively set priorities and meet deadlines.
Knowledge and skills
The following knowledge and skills are required for this position:- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Familiarity with IT systems and data management tools; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
