Operations Manager - Private Markets

Job description

As part of its strategic ambitions, SYZ Capital is expanding its operations team under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer. We are looking for someone with experience in fund accounting who is interested in working with liquid and illiquid alternative investments and who wants to contribute to the team’s success and growth.

Tasks

The tasks include:

• Order Execution & Cash Management: Overseeing fund accounting and liaising with the middle and back offices
• NAV Control: Support for daily operations (data processing, fund valuation control) and review of fund accounting/finance
• Administration: Support with product launches, structuring, closing, and reconciliation, as well as review of the quarterly portfolio reporting package
• Regulatory responsibilities: Conducting annual audits of funds and assisting the business development team with investor onboarding

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous experience at a private equity firm or as a fund accountant in Luxembourg
• A "can-do" attitude, self-motivated, proactive, and independent, with problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
• Flexibility and resilience under pressure, especially during peak periods
• Strong project management skills and analytical thinking, with a proven ability to identify and solve complex problems in fast-paced environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proven experience in creating high-quality reports and presentations
• High integrity, independent and self-motivated, and a cooperative team player
