Operations Manager - Private Markets

The Operations Manager - Private Markets is responsible for the administration and operational support of investments and funds in the Alternative Investments division. The candidate will work closely with the investment team and the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for administrative, organizational and communication tasks.

Job description

Tasks

  • Order Execution & Cash Management:
    • Monitoring of fund operations in cooperation with Middle and Back Office.
  • NAV Control:
    • Daily operational support (incoming data processing, fund valuation check).
    • Review fund accounting/finances and support the Private Markets team with reporting obligations.
  • Administration:
    • Support with product launches: structuring, finalization, alignment.
    • Review of the quarterly portfolio reporting package (valuations, cash flows and CAS, prepared by administrators).
    • Administrative support of the local investment team, RFPs, DDQs, investor inquiries.
    • Maintaining active relationships with third-party service providers such as administrators and banking relationships.
  • Regulatory:
    • Management of the annual fund audit.
    • Support the business development team in investor fund onboarding (KYC, AML) and communication with administrators.

Requirements

Professional experience

  • Required: Experience in a private equity firm or a Luxembourg fund administrator.

  • Flexible and resilient under pressure, especially during periods of peak activity.
  • Strong project management skills and analytical mindset, with proven ability to identify and solve complex problems in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven experience in producing high quality reports and presentations.
  • High level of integrity, independent and self-motivated, but also a collaborative team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a partnership approach; structured and methodical in work execution, with the ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.

Language skills

  • Excellent knowledge of English (written and oral).

IT skills

  • Comfortable working with IT systems and data management tools; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
