Operations Specialist (Fund & Digital Asset Operations)

Tasks

• Fund Operations
  • Processing fund subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and other investor transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Performing reconciliations and investigating exceptions, discrepancies, and operational disruptions.
  • Support for NAV audits and the monitoring of fund accounting.
  • Coordinate with portfolio managers, fund managers, transfer agents, and other service providers to ensure smooth operational execution.
  • Support for audits, regulatory reporting, and fund-related operational projects.
  • Support for fund launches, product improvements, and other operational initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Brokerage and Custody Operations
  • Support for customer onboarding and account maintenance activities.
  • Processing, monitoring, and reconciling fiat and digital asset transfers.
  • Performing daily reconciliations of cash, positions, and digital assets, as well as resolving process discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Support for custody, staking, and fee-related operational activities.
  • Preparation of operational, regulatory, and management reports.
  • Support for internal audits, external audits, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Monitoring operational exceptions and ensuring that issues are escalated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to support efficient and controlled operational processes.
• Projects & Process Improvement
  • Participation in operational projects and business initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process improvement and automation.
  • Supporting the implementation, testing, and improvement of operational systems and workflows.
  • Assistance with documenting operational procedures, controls, and best practices.
  • Support for initiatives related to data quality, reporting, and process optimization across operational functions.

Requirements

• A degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in fund administration, investment operations, securities operations, banking operations, custody, brokerage operations, or a similar financial services environment.
• Understanding of investment funds, reconciliations, cash management, and operational processes.
• Interest in digital assets and emerging financial technologies; prior experience with digital asset or cryptocurrency operations would be a plus, but is not required.
• Strong Excel skills, including data analysis, data reconciliation, and reporting; familiarity with Power Query, VBA, Python, SQL, or workflow automation tools would be an asset.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
