ORACLE DATABASE DEVELOPER

About the role

• As a Senior Oracle Database Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our Oracle database to deliver robust and scalable data warehouse and reporting solutions.
• You will work closely with business partners and our technical teams to deliver robust and scalable systems that support mission-critical financial and regulatory processes.

Tasks

• Contributed to the design and development of a data warehouse based on Oracle database technology (19c Enterprise Edition), using ETL/ELT tools for data movement, transformation, compression, and analytical functions
• Optimizing SQL and PL/SQL code using advanced Oracle features such as parallel queries, partitioning, compression, and analytical functions
• Implementation of complex reporting solutions in areas such as risk, finance, and regulation
• Collaborating with business users to understand requirements, workflows, and data
• Development and maintenance of data models while ensuring data quality, integrity, and security
• Monitoring and Optimizing Database Performance with Tools Such as AWR and Real-Time SQL Monitoring
• Support for data modeling activities using techniques such as Kimball, Data Vault, or 3NF
• Work in an agile, collaborative environment, contribute to design reviews, and mentor junior developers

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development
• Strong knowledge of data modeling for data warehouses, including dimensional modeling, normalization techniques, complex joins, partitioning, and parallel execution
• In-depth knowledge of advanced SQL concepts, including analytical functions, hierarchical query syntax, and procedural programming features (PL/SQL)
• Practical experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting using Oracle diagnostic tools (e.g., AWR, ASH, AWRS)
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative and scalable solutions
• A proactive and independent work style with a keen eye for detail
• Fluency in English with excellent communication and collaboration skills
• A solution-oriented mindset and an interest in investments

Desirable

• Experience in the finance or insurance industry
• Developing Web Applications with Oracle Application Express
• Proficiency in the Python programming language
• Practical experience with Git version control systems
