PB Support Specialist for the Americas, Geneva

The PB Support Specialist for the Americas at EFG International in Geneva assists Client Relationship Officers in identifying and mitigating risks and ensures compliance with regulatory standards and operational processes in the Americas region. Job Description

This role bridges business requirements with regulatory standards and ensures the smooth implementation of regulatory compliance and operational processes for activities in the Americas region.

Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for assigning PB Support work areas within the discipline, with a focus on implementing and executing strategies and ensuring alignment with Swiss standards and regulatory expectations
  • Supporting Client Relationship Officers in proactively identifying, managing, and mitigating risks arising from day-to-day business operations, applying advanced professional expertise and conceptual thinking to complex cases
  • Conducting due diligence reviews of potential and existing client relationships to ensure a consistent approach and to apply policies, processes, and procedures that align with regulatory expectations
  • Approval of fund and securities transfers, loans, overdrafts, and transactions that may be subject to sanctions, within the scope of delegated authority, to ensure that decisions comply with the standards and specifications applicable to the business
  • Sharing market insights and best practices among Client Relationship Officers, Client Service Officers, and Account Managers to define and embed standards against which all offerings are aligned
  • Ensure the timely completion of and resolution for outstanding follow-ups related to customer lifecycle activities, while ensuring the delivery of assigned follow-up tasks pertaining to the department
  • Approving new accounts for clients and business managers, overseeing the KYC lifecycle, and conducting periodic reviews within the authority delegated by the HoPB to ensure that monitoring and compliance with standards are maintained through comprehensive professional expertise
  • Serve as a key senior partner for front-office and control functions and as a vital link between FLOD and SLOOD to ensure consistent communication and escalation channels and to foster connections across multiple teams and levels, both internally and externally
  • Reviewing account openings, CIP changes, and periodic reviews for the local PBS teams in the region, while providing guidance to strengthen our understanding of requirements and control standards

Skills and experience

  • Management of medium-sized projects/construction contracts aimed at improving control standards, documentation quality, and risk mitigation measures
  • Providing guidance and conducting training sessions for front-office teams on risk-related topics, control responsibilities, and regulatory expectations
  • Conducting risk assessments, control reviews, and thematic reviews assigned by senior management (line managers, HoPB, and RBH)
  • Preparation and presentation of high-risk and sensitive cases to the CAC Committee on behalf of the HoPB
  • Resolving audit issues by coordinating with stakeholders to implement corrective actions, including the submission of corrective action plans
