**Periodic Review Compliance Officer**
The Periodic Review Compliance Officer supports the CRO and senior management teams in Singapore in ensuring compliance with external and internal regulations and actively managing operational, regulatory, and reputational risks. The employee is part of the Periodic Review team of Compliance Officers and performs tasks such as reviewing customer profiles, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and assisting with ad hoc inquiries.
Job description
Tasks
- Supporting the CRO and senior management teams of the JBBS branch in ensuring compliance with external and internal regulations in the areas mentioned and actively managing operational, regulatory, and reputational risks.
- Part of the periodic review team of compliance officers who support the JBBS branch.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders such as the JBBS front office, Client Documentation Services (CDS), KYC/AML onboarding, AML, Investigations, and Risk Management teams.
- Support the Head of AML/KYC Singapore and the Head of Periodic Review in managing compliance reviews of existing client relationships, profiles, and accounts booked in JBBS, as well as reviewing new/incremental KYC/CDD risks identified during the course of the client relationship with JBBS.
- Coordinate and guide local and foreign relationship managers (e.g., Hong Kong, Thailand, and Dubai) in their periodic review submissions, including KYC profile changes, account structure changes, and newly identified adverse news and risk elements.
- Assistance and support with ad hoc KYC/CDD-related matters and inquiries from regulatory authorities, auditors (internal and external), and headquarters.
- Reviewing customer profiles for the relevant periodic review period to ensure compliance with internal requirements and the latest regulatory requirements for AML/CFT/CTD standards; Ensuring the completeness, consistency, and accuracy of KYC information, adequacy of source of wealth (SOW) narrative, and reasonableness of plausibility assessment.
- Carrying out customer risk assessments and due diligence analyses with a focus on high/high risk profiles.
- Identification and handling of incremental AML/KYC risks identified during periodic review; escalation of incremental risks identified during customer profile review.
- Participation in projects, process improvements, and discussions related to KYC/CDD.

Professional and technical skills
- At least 3-5 years of experience in KYC onboarding/periodic review and/or AML role in private banking/asset management.
- A good degree and/or understanding of the private banking and asset management industry.
- Strong knowledge of MAS GI 20 Notice & Guidelines.
- Experience in managing AML/CFT related regulatory inspections, external and/or internal audits and strategic projects.
- PC experience: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
