Periodic Review Compliance Officer

Job description

The CRO department develops and monitors the global framework for identifying, controlling, reporting and managing risks within the risk tolerance for Julius Baer's various business areas, with the aim of achieving sustainable growth for the company.

Your challenge

Your responsibilities include:

• Employee management: Supporting the CRO and senior management of BJBS Branch in complying with external and internal regulations in the areas mentioned and actively managing operational, regulatory, and reputational risks.
• Customer management (internal and external): Building strong relationships with key stakeholders such as the BJBS Front Office, Client Documentation Services (CDS), KYC/AML Onboarding, AML, Investigations, and Risk Management teams.
• Management: Review of customer profiles for the relevant review period to ensure compliance with internal requirements and the latest regulatory requirements for AML/CFT/CDD standards.

Your tasks

Your responsibilities will include:

• Review of customer profiles for the relevant review period to ensure compliance with internal requirements and the latest regulatory requirements for AML/CFT/CDD standards.
• Conducting customer risk analyses and due diligence analyses with a focus on high/highest risk profiles.
• Review and evaluation of name checks to facilitate periodic review.
• Conducting transaction reviews for all transactions that occurred during the relevant review period.

Your profile

• Strong personality with good organizational skills.
• Teamwork skills: Previous experience as a team leader is an advantage.
• Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills; detail-oriented.
• Excellent knowledge of English; knowledge of other Asian languages is an advantage.
