Platform Engineer, Backup & Cyber Disaster Recovery (m/f/d)

Tasks

• Analysis of Requirements and Technologies for the Continuous Development of the Platforms
• Ensuring the stable operation of the backup and storage infrastructure
• Advising internal stakeholders to support technical decision-making, stress management, and incident management
• Collaborate with the Information Security team and other IT departments to implement resilience and recovery working groups in a holistic manner

Requirements

• A completed degree (university, university of applied sciences, or higher vocational school) in computer science or equivalent training
• Extensive, in-depth experience in the engineering and operation of complex backup and recovery infrastructures in an enterprise environment
• Extensive hands-on experience with IBM Storage Protect or comparable systems
• Experience with cyber resilience, cyber disaster recovery, immutable backup, recovery, and related security and recovery concepts
• Practical experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe
• A self-directed, structured, and team-oriented approach to work
• Excellent written and spoken German and good written and spoken English
