Platform Engineer – .NET Runtime Platform and Cloud Development Environment (Full-time)

The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Platform Engineer for the .NET Runtime Platform and Cloud Development Environment to help shape the future of wealth management through the development of modern platform solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining platform solutions to provide developers with fast and seamless access to runtime environments.

Tasks

- Design, implement, and maintain modern platform solutions that provide developers with fast, seamless, and self-service access to runtime environments - Work closely with software development teams to co-design platform features and provide them with a modern, customizable developer workspace that delivers an exceptional developer experience - Develop intelligent automation to streamline platform operations, deployment, and maintenance tasks - Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security of your services by applying high-quality principles and proactive resilience techniques - Provide support to key stakeholders by addressing complex technical challenges with a consultative approach and ensuring that disruption to business-critical services is minimized - Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and scaling risks, and leading initiatives to increase platform maturity, reliability, and developer experience

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a platform engineer, DevOps engineer, or systems engineer
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts, containerization, and orchestration using technologies such as Kubernetes, Azure, and Ansible
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and their integration into workflows
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
