Platform Engineer - Oracle (m/f/d)

Tasks

• Responsible for the design and engineering of the central Oracle databases
• Ensuring the performance, stability, and availability of Oracle databases and developing backup and recovery strategies
• Further developing the database infrastructure and planning and implementing projects with regard to quality, time, and budget
• Advise and support internal contacts on architecture, security, performance, and operations, as well as on database services
• Regular performance of maintenance work outside of normal operating hours

Requirements

• A completed degree (university/university of applied sciences/higher vocational school) in computer science or equivalent training with relevant practical experience
• Several years of experience in the engineering and operation of Oracle databases in mission-critical environments
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle Exadata, including design, operation, capacity planning, tuning, and performance optimization
• Extensive expertise in database, backup, and recovery concepts, as well as SQL performance tuning
• A strong affinity for data and platform technologies, as well as strong connections between the various departments
• Understand the requirements of internal contacts and applications
• Very good German and good English skills (at least B2 level)
