Job description: Platform Operations Engineer

Tasks

• Monitoring the production environment, responding to alerts, and escalating issues to support and development teams
• Implementation of changes to our production systems across the entire estate
• Support for ITIL-compliant processes in the technology department (change, incident, and problem management)
• Operation and maintenance of the Managed File Transfer product at Man

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the operations support field
• Good communication skills, as colleagues range from senior business managers to junior developers and operators
• Attention to detail and commitment to the responsibilities of the role
• Awareness of the ITIL framework
• Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
• Basic knowledge of git / bash / python
• Willingness to learn and master new skills and technologies
• Flexibility in working hours and shift work, including late evening shifts (UTC)

Desired qualifications

• Good knowledge of computers in various areas (networking, storage, automation/CI/CD)
• Experience with MFT software
• Advanced Python or Powershell skills (scripting)
• Experience in supporting financial systems or services
