Portfolio Analyst

The Portfolio Analyst supports a team of portfolio managers and researchers in implementing investment strategies and analyzes portfolio returns and exposures. The position requires a strong understanding of finance, statistics, and programming, as well as experience with large data sets and tools.

Job description

The position of Portfolio Analyst encompasses a wide range of research, investment, and technical tasks within the Alternative Investment Solutions division.

Primary responsibilities

  • Working with portfolio managers to validate the inputs and outputs of our investment signals and assist with the day-to-day management of the portfolio
  • Analysis of the output of our portfolio construction process to ensure the integrity of our investment philosophy
  • Supporting the research and portfolio management teams in improving existing signals and creating new ones
  • Working with large data sets and tools to identify data quality issues
  • Development of tools for evaluating portfolio support and performance
  • Conducting analyses for customer communication and presentations

Requirements

  • At least a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, or accounting
  • Previous experience with coding in Python, Matlab, or similar languages
  • Previous graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • 0-3 years of experience in quantitative analysis preferred
  • Solid understanding of accounting and financial analysis
  • Strong programming and statistical analysis skills
  • Strong work ethic and flexible working hours
  • Detail-oriented, good written and verbal communication skills, and a cooperative personality
  • Strong sense of integrity
