Portfolio and Fund Management Specialist

Tasks

  • Providing specialized knowledge about UGA products for real assets to clients worldwide, and in particular to Japanese investors
  • Providing high-quality investment solutions for institutional and private investors worldwide, particularly providing guidance for all UGA investment areas in the Japanese market
  • Contribute to fundraising efforts by completing RFPs and creating compelling marketing materials, including pitch decks and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs).
  • Collaborate with investment teams to conduct research and analysis of market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitor activities to enhance investor communications and position the company as a market leader
  • Collaborate with asset management client coverage teams and global wealth management client advisors to support sales and client service efforts
  • Ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service that maintains SMA's current quality standards and facilitates potential refill opportunities

Your commitment

  • You will be part of a large, cross-functional investment and alternative investment solutions team.
  • The team is responsible for managing the UBS platform for real assets and alternative investment management (across real estate, infrastructure, private equity, and hedge funds).
  • You will be part of investor relations management (across all major traditional and alternative asset classes, from active to passive, and including a compelling value proposition for investors).

Requirements

  • 12-15 years of experience in an institutional investment, private markets specialist, product specialist, or alternative sales role
  • Deep understanding of the Japanese investor landscape and regulatory environment, with the ability to act as a Japanese SMA 'gatekeeper' by providing regular reports and performance updates
  • Experience with the investor landscape
  • Understanding unique expectations
  • Advanced technical, product, and market knowledge that aligns with ours; hard and soft skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong communication skills
  • Highly motivated to think in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in Japanese and English
