Portfolio Management Analyst

The Portfolio Management Analyst supports the portfolio management team in monitoring 15–20 portfolio companies and ensures that the loans meet expectations. The role also involves analyzing portfolio data, identifying risks, and providing internal valuation updates to senior management.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an analyst to join our portfolio management team to monitor the performance of 15–20 portfolio companies and ensure that these loans meet expectations. Other responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data in an internal database
  • Ongoing identification and analysis of portfolio loans
  • Evaluate portfolio loans across various asset classes
  • Recognizing early signs of deterioration
  • Provide internal valuation updates to senior management

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications and experience:
  • A background in finance or accounting with strong financial analysis skills
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Experience with valuation methods (discounted cash flows, relative values) and data analysis tools and databases
  • Experience in a production control or performance reporting role
  • A collaborative work style that spans departments, characterized by high energy, enthusiasm, and drive
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas both verbally and in writing
  • Proactive and forward-thinking, generating ideas
  • Proven ability to deliver consistent, reliable, and timely results in a time-sensitive role
  • Basic Excel and Power BI skills
  • Experience with SVal plus
  • A financial or accounting designation such as CFA or CPA
