Portfolio Manager
The Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing and monitoring investment portfolios, developing and implementing investment strategies, and working closely with clients and stakeholders to achieve investment objectives. The focus is on growth in the Greater China region and building a scalable CIOO platform to support future growth in Asia.
Tasks
Responsible for managing and monitoring investment portfolios, developing and implementing investment strategies, working closely with clients and stakeholders to achieve investment objectives, providing expert advice on investment matters, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. Key responsibilities include:- Construction and management of multi-asset portfolios in accordance with the defined objectives and risk profiles.
- Development of strategic and tactical asset allocation for customized portfolios.
- Direct engagement with clients in Business Mandarin and English, providing investment insights and portfolio updates.
- Partner with relationship managers to initiate and implement DPM opportunities in Greater China.
- Preparation of investment proposals, portfolio reviews, and client presentations in English and Business Mandarin.
- Ensuring that portfolios comply with client guidelines, regulations, and internal policies.
Requirements
Key performance indicators include:- Achieving CIOO-Net's new revenue targets and growth in Asia.
- Portfolio performance and customer satisfaction, particularly in Greater China.
- Compliance with risk and operational standards.
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills—the ability to build strong working relationships and interact effectively with internal and external customers or prospects.
- Stay up to date on general market trends.
- Ability to articulate complex market insights and portfolio positioning in fluent business Mandarin and English.

- 8–15 years of experience in portfolio management, DPM mandates, or multi-asset investing.
- An excellent track record in multi-asset portfolio management and client advisory services.
- Native or near-native business Mandarin and strong English communication skills.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Completed regulatory exams such as CACS Papers 1 and 2, and CMFAS Modules 3 and 6.
- CFA certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus.
