Pricing Analyst

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies at Julius Baer in Singapore and Hong Kong and supports the implementation of pricing initiatives to increase profitability. The ideal candidate has at least 4–6 years of experience in the private banking or financial services industry and possesses strong analytical skills.

Job description

As a Pricing Analyst, you will be part of the Revenue Development and Pricing APAC team and support a dynamic, client-focused organization. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing pricing strategies to improve profitability by identifying revenue opportunities and defining appropriate initiatives
  • Support for the implementation and rollout of pricing initiatives to facilitate the realization of the corresponding business models
  • Conducting analyses of market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to develop recommendations for pricing strategies
  • Preparing presentation materials and analyzing data sets to support projects and pricing initiatives and track progress

Responsibilities as a Product Owner

As the Product Owner for the pricing tool/project, you will:
  • Coordinate the implementation of price increases from the business side, including updating pricing documentation and system implementations in pricing tools
  • Lead working groups to gather business requirements related to pricing issues in collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Design and conduct user acceptance tests for pricing improvements
  • Prepare monthly budget forecasts and actual reports for tracking and monitoring

Support for day-to-day pricing activities

You will also assist with day-to-day pricing operations, including:
  • Handling inquiries, maintaining fee structures and pricing documentation, resolving technical issues related to IT and operations, etc.
  • Supporting and promoting activities related to pricing policy or governance, including the implementation of price controls
  • Development and administration of pricing-related training and education (including training materials, new employee training, etc.)

Your profiles

We are looking for a candidate with:
  • Strong communication skills (preferably in English; fluency in German or Mandarin is a plus)
  • A university degree or higher education qualification in business administration (e.g., MBA), finance, or an equivalent field
  • At least 4–6 years of experience in private banking and/or the financial services industry, or in management/strategy consulting
  • Proven interdisciplinary project management experience
  • Experience in pricing (strategic, tactical, operational) is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, and comfortable working with large datasets
