Pricing Analyst

The Pricing Analyst at Julius Baer in Singapore is responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies to increase profitability and meet client needs. The position requires at least 4–6 years of experience in the financial industry and strong analytical skills.

Job description

As a Pricing Analyst, you will be part of the Revenue Development and Pricing APAC team and will support a highly dynamic and client-focused organization and team. The department is responsible for the continuous improvement, development, and implementation of Julius Baer’s pricing landscape and the corresponding framework for our clients.

Tasks

The tasks include:
  • Developing pricing strategies to improve profitability by identifying revenue opportunities and defining appropriate initiatives
  • Support for the implementation and rollout of pricing initiatives to actively promote the realization of the corresponding business models
  • Conducting analyses of market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to develop recommendations for pricing strategies
  • Preparing presentation materials and analyzing data sets to support projects and pricing initiatives, and to ensure clear reporting and monitoring of progress and performance

Product owners of pricing tools/projects

As the product owner for pricing tools/projects, you will:
  • Coordinate the implementation of price increases from the business side, including updating pricing documentation and implementing changes in pricing tools
  • Lead working groups to gather business requirements related to pricing issues in collaboration with various stakeholders (e.g., business, compliance/legal, IT)
  • Design and conduct user acceptance tests for pricing-related improvements
  • Prepare monthly budget forecasts and actual reports for monitoring and control purposes

Support for day-to-day pricing activities

You will also assist with day-to-day pricing operations, including:
  • Assistance with processing price inquiries, maintaining fee structures and pricing documentation, resolving technical issues related to IT and operations, etc.
  • Supporting and promoting activities related to pricing policy or governance, including the implementation of price controls
  • Development and administration of pricing-related training and educational programs (including training materials, new employee training, etc.)

Requirements

The following requirements apply to this position:
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with senior management
  • A university degree or advanced education in business administration (e.g., MBA), finance, or an equivalent field
  • At least 4–6 years of experience in private banking, the financial services industry, or management/strategy consulting
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Experience in pricing (strategic, tactical, operational) is preferred
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, and comfort working with large datasets
