Primary Systems Analyst
The Primary Systems Analyst (Assistant Vice President) at Charles River Development, a part of State Street, is responsible for managing production environments for Charles River MS systems for multiple clients. The role includes monitoring and supporting systems, performing maintenance, and working with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
Job description
Tasks
- Client assistance in the optimal use of the system
- User administration/configuration
- Parameter configuration changes
- System availability
- Application and database performance customization
- Daily monitoring and support of operational processes
- Charles River MS and database software patches
- Charles River MS version upgrades
- Assistance in diagnosing and solving problems
- Support with business continuity/disaster recovery
- Collaboration with Charles River colleagues to smoothly transfer new CIs into production
- Working with suppliers as partners to deliver a tightly integrated, seamless service to Charles River customers
- Participation in the development and ongoing refinement, improvement and continuous process optimization for the services
- Participate in testing, implementation and operation of new technologies to improve/automate and/or eliminate the delivery of services
- The role involves occasional support outside of regular working hours and/or weekend work
- Occasional travel to client sites may be required to conduct planning and review meetings
Requirements
- Experience in financial services investment management, trading or related activities (e.g. Charles River MS) highly preferred
- Proven ability to work with various internal departments to deliver excellent customer service
- Experience with MS SQL, Server, Oracle and/or Sybase database configuration, operation and basic administration
- Experience with the following is preferred: servers, operating systems, networks, XML, scripting languages, job scheduling software, system monitoring tools, business continuity
- Excellent customer service skills, technical troubleshooting skills and interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical discipline such as computer science, financial engineering, engineering, science, economics, mathematics or statistics preferred
- At least 3+ years of relevant industry experience
